A New Chapter for Rokytnice

Rokytnice v rozjezdu is a long-term vision for the further development of the town and its surroundings. It brings new opportunities for housing, services, leisure, and public space, seeking ways to support life in Rokytnice all year round.

Development Driven Together

In August 2026, the proposed plans were presented to the public for the first time as part of the Rokytnice v rozjezdu event. A total of 189 people actively participated with their questions, comments, and suggestions regarding the future of Rokytnice. Their opinions and main conclusions are summarized in the participation report.

A Town Alive All Year Round

The goal of this vision is a more vibrant and better-functioning mountain town for both locals and visitors—a place with high-quality services, new housing and work opportunities, pleasant public space, and a wider range of activities. At the same time, it is essential to preserve the authentic character of Rokytnice and maintain respect for the surrounding landscape. 

What Is Planned

House on the Square
New housing, shops, and services right in the center of Rokytnice.
Wellness Spa Hotel
New accommodation, gastronomy, wellness, and amenities for year-round stays.
Serviced Branded Residences
Premium apartments with hotel services allowing owners to combine personal recreation with rental options.
Krkonoše Village
A new residential district offering approximately 220 apartments with quality public space and easy access to hotel services and the ski resort.
Rokytnice Brewery – Vision
A new venue for gastronomy, culture, social gatherings, and local community groups.
New Tesco
A new commercial center with a Tesco store and complementary services will expand civic amenities and improve the surrounding public space.
Parking Garage & Natural Swimming Pool
A multi-story parking garage and a new natural swimming pool will improve facilities for visitors and expand year-round use of the area.
Housing for Hotel Employees
New apartment buildings will provide affordable housing for hotel and ski resort staff, supporting the long-term development of local services.
Development of the Horní Domky Ski Resort
Modernization of the ski resort will bring new attractions, improved infrastructure, and more sports and family activities year-round.
Revitalization of the Lower Square – Vision
The revitalization of Lower Square will transform the center of Rokytnice into a more attractive, greener, and livelier space for residents and visitors.
